Iced Coconut Matcha with Maple Cold Foam

,

I love the iced matcha lattes at Starbucks. And I have been so excited to see the new flavors coming out this spring. I have been making iced matcha lattes at home for a while, but am just getting into the cold foam. And it is soooo good!!

There are so many flavors you can add to the cold foam that really level up your iced matcha latte. And it is just so easy to make at home. I’m so excited to try many new flavor combos.

This one is pretty basic and veryyy good. I think it’s a great one to start with.

First I put maple syrup at the bottom of my latte glass. This will help the hot green tea mix with the sweetener, instead becoming clumps that don’t mix well.

Then I mix up the matcha. I try to create a “shot” of matcha, similar to a shot of espresso in a latte. I don’t want the matcha to be too watered down. And I pour that into the glass. Then I stir the maple syrup and hot tea to fully combine.

Next I add some ice.

Add ice to glass.

Then I pour some coconut milk over the ice.

Then, in a separate glass, I pour a touch of maple syrup in with a bit of half and half. I sprinkle a tiny touch of salt in the cup. Then I use my frothing wand and froth it up.

Finally I add that frothed cold foam to the top of my latte. And voila! So good!
